Flic-en-Flac is located on the west coast of Mauritius and was once a small village with its only claim to fame a really long beach
and a beautiful lagoon. There were few tourists to Mauritius in the 60's and trade not tourism was its main feature.
That is until the 70's when the price of the sugar rose and created an economic boom to the country.
Many more people could now afford the luxury of a bungalow on the coast
